The Horned One Living a Magickal Life Miscellaneous topics and things otherwise not covered |

The Horned One is
sometimes the title given to the consort of the Great Goddess. His
origins are not Wiccan, nor wholly Celtic, as a Horned God occurs in
many pantheons. He is Cernunnos to the Celts, Herne the Hunter to the
Britons, Pan to the Greeks, the Green Man (originally known as the Leaf
Man), and many others. The Horned One is the most common of God
archetypes. He is the Great God, his mother is the Great Goddess. As he
grows he becomes her mate, and fathers the God who is his own
reincarnation.

Some things I admit are
beyond my knowledge at this point in time or purposefully excluded. Here
is a short list, and some accompanying reasons.
Palmistry, the art of palm reading, is a method of divination I simply have yet to learn. More details about herbs, again, is on my list of knowledge to acquire. Incense blends are not included for the knowledge I am lacking above. Essential Oils, the true art of Aromatherapy, is not included here. This is not for my lack of knowledge, but for my inability to contradict the massive amounts of misinformation about it. As a responsible Aromatherapist, I could not in good conscious provide such information to those who have not been trained in the use of Essential Oils. Even though their use is common in many Wiccan practices, Essential Oils can be dangerous and caution must be used. As I move towards certification in Aromatherapy, I may be able to include something about them in the future. |
