Why is the information
gathered in sections titled Maiden, Mother, Crone, and the Horned One? This was done simply in the interest of theme. Sections have been divided into the three aspects of the Triple Goddess, and the main aspect of the God. The Maiden is often associated with youngness, so the beginner information is found there. The Mother is learned and able, and intermediate information is here. The Crone is wise and full of knowledge, so more advanced information goes there. The Horned One is the consort, the place for the knowledge that expands upon, compliments, and balances the other sections. It is for theme only, and in no way is meant to suggest that people view and practice each section when they reach that point in the cycle of their own lives. Why do you consider Sabbats and Esbats to be intermediate information? I think our holidays are central to our beliefs and should be explored at the beginning. While it is true that celebrating the Sabbats (in particular) are a very integral part of Wiccan belief, I chose to organize them this way for reasons that are based in the community. I have found that the vast majority of new practitioners (and even some who have been a part of the faith for years) do not actually celebrate the holidays with full rituals. For many, they are marked in some way, but most are not observing them in a more involved manner. Since this happens to so many, indeed my own practice had such a period of time, it seems it is more of a natural progression to go into detail about the Sabbats a little bit later. I do talk about them in the Maiden section, but a more in depth look will be had in a future article. And kudos to you who began celebrating the holidays right away. You mentioned that you will have few citations of sources here. If you're not gathering from books or other references, where do you get your information? The simple answer to this is one word: memory. I am at a point of my life where my faith is a part of it. As much as my body cannot function without my heart; so can I not live outside of my faith. I have had many teachers through the years and mentally filed, adjusted, and used the information I was given. I also have copious hand-written notes and a decent library, both as they relate to my spirituality and on more academic levels. I will truly attempt to site my sources as I can, but most of it I just cannot trace due to how it was learned. This is also why this site is a story of my specific faith practice and not something more general. Why don't you have <insert important website here> on your links page? I make it a point to link to you only the places and services that I know to be decent and reputable. Unfortunately, I have come across some sites that I can't support, and many that I simply have no experience with. If you really think I should add your site to my list, please e-mail it to me and I will have a look at it.
